Recently, poachers killed Satao, one of Kenya’s oldest and most revered elephants. The 45-year-old bull had magnificent tusks, weighing more than 100 pounds and making him a target for human greed.
Satao was a unique elephant. But, his story, unfortunately, is not.
That’s why in memory of Satao, and to ensure AWF can quickly enhance its anti-poaching efforts AWF council members, Mari Sinton-Martinez and Paul Martinez, have challenged us with a $20,000 matching grant.
Make your gift by June 30 to have it doubled.
